    Highlights of the Tour

From dinosaurs to deep time, from glittering minerals to giant mammals, this tour connects the Museum’s most popular galleries with the scientific ideas behind them. According to your interests, your guide may include the following highlights:

    Dinosaurs and the T. rex

Explore the world of the dinosaurs and get close to an impressive Tyrannosaurus rex display. Learn how palaeontologists read fossils like detective clues—teeth, bones and footprints—to reconstruct ancient ecosystems.

    Fossils and Prehistoric Seas

See spectacular fossils of marine reptiles and ammonites and discover how life evolved in ancient oceans. Understand why some creatures vanished while others adapted and thrived.

    Mammals and the Blue Whale

Stand beneath the awe-inspiring Blue Whale and compare it with other mammals—from big cats to primates. Discuss evolution, adaptation and how scientists study living species to understand the past.

    Minerals, Volcanoes and Earth Sciences

Enter the sparkling world of crystals and meteorites, then dive into forces that shape our planet—earthquakes, volcanoes and plate tectonics. Your guide reveals how geologists track our planet’s restless energy.

    Human Evolution Gallery

Trace the story of human evolution through skulls, tools and interactive displays. Learn how discoveries—from Lucy to Neanderthals—changed what we know about our origins.

    A Family-Friendly and Personalised Experience
